Opened in 1989, this station was modeled after a Kievan Rus’ temple with vaulted halls , mosaic ceilings depicting the history of the slavs and enormous chandeliers. Zoloti Vorota, means “Golden Gate,” the golden entrance on Volodymyrska Street. It was designed by Borys Zhezherin, Vadym Zhezherin and Mykola Zharikov.
